Missanabie Ontario Moose Hunting

Murray Lake Cottages & Outpost Camps is located south of Missanabie and between Wawa and Chapleau, Ontario. Murray Lake's location is north-east of the north shore of Lake Superior, which has one of the highest concentrations of Moose in Ontario. Co Moose are common up to 900 pounds and Bull Moose are common up to 1300 pounds with a few harvested by guests in the last couple of years that ecedded 1500 pounds. There are so many Moose that they get a good amount of Moose tags. They have non-resident Bull Moose tags and Non-resident Cow Moose tags for both rifle and archery. They have housekeeping cabins on Murray Lake near Missanabie as well as own Silver Birch Cottages father east towards Chapleau. Residents with their own tags are welcome to rent a cabin. They are located in WMU 32 and surrounded by WMUs 22, 23, 30, 31, 34 & 35.

Northern Walleye Lodge is located north of Wawa & Chapleau in Northern Ontario. Moose hunting is excellent. We have adult Bull Moose tags and adult Cow Moose tags for both Archery and Rifle hunting in WMU 32. Initially the Moose hunting package is unguided but there are aboriginal Cree and Ojibwe guides living on the lake that are available if you want a guide. Bull Moose in the area are common in the 1000 to 1300 pound range but Bull Moose over 1500 pounds do get harvested. Accommodations can be either at the main camp or in outpost cabins. This is a 9-day hunt but you can leave early when you get your Moose.
