Big North Lodge & Outposts is a drive-in lodge at Minaki, 25 miles north of Kenora, Ontario, with fly-in outposts at Roger Lake & Maynard Lake. Our fully-guided Bull Moose hunt is a fly-in Archery Hunt at Roger Lake in WMU 3, hunting out of our deluxe outpost cabins. You will hunt in an area known for its large moose, and our hunt takes place during the rut. The bull responds well to calls at this time, making this a very exciting hunt. Bulls have been taken from as close as 10 yards. Our success rate has been around 40%. We take a maximum of 4 hunter each fall. Our hunt is all-inclusive: accommodations, meals, guide, boat & motor, all flights.
Indian Point Camp is located on Wabigoon Lake in Northwestern Ontario. Bull Moose are common over 800-pounds in their area with many reaching as big as 1300-pounds. On occasion, Bull Moose as heavy as 1500 pounds have been harvested in Northwestern Ontario. There are a few farms in the area as well as massive amounts of softwood trees. Their WMUs are located right in that transition area where the deciduous forest starts to fade into coniferous forest as you head north. As a result Moose meat from their area taste way better than Moose farther north that eat pine needles and bark to live. Indian Point Camp has 1 Adult Bull Moose rifle tag, which can be converted to two archery tags. They also have unlimited calf tags. The amount of tags issued changes every year based on population assessments conducted by the MNR. Resident hunters with their own tags for WMU 5 and WMU 8 are welcome to rent a cabin. Cabins are housekeeping with fully equipped kitchens. They have spectacular fishing for Walleye, Muskie, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Perch and Crappie.
Lower Twin Lakes Lodge is a drive-to camp and located 6 miles from Nakina, Ontario and in the heart of the best Moose hunting country in Canada. Lower Twin Lakes specializes in Bow / Archery and Rifle hunts with adult Bull Moose tags available for WMU 18A. This is a 7-day housekeeping hunt and hunters stay in clean and comfortable lakeside cottages. From the camp there is also easy access to WMU 18B and WMU 19 so hunters with their own tags are welcome to rent a cabin. Guided hunts can also be arranged. Nakina is the top destination in Canada for Moose hunting and non-resident adult Moose tags are limited and will go fast.
Sandy Point Camp has outstanding Moose hunting and receive Adult Bull Moose tags for both rifle hunts and archery hunts in WMU 9a. They are located between Dryden and Ignace Ontario. Moose get big in their area with Bull Moose topping 1500 pounds. Success rates are high and to make your Moose hunting trip even more enjoyable, accommodations are in big a roomy lakefront cabins that are fully equipped for housekeeping. They also have fantastic fall fishing for Walleye and Northern Pike.
Rugby Lake Lodge is a small family owned drive-in hunting camp around 45 miles north of Dryden and Vermilion Bay, Ontario. They offer guided Moose hunts for both rifle and archery. They receive non-resident Moose tags for both bulls and cows in WMU 8. Ther are close to WMU 5 so they offer accommodations for residents with their own Moose tags. Cows in their area average 800 to 1000 pounds while massive Bull Moose well exceeding 1500 pounds have been harvested in their area. The terrain in their area is just perfect for Moose with grasslands, swamps and burn areas with fresh softwood shoots. Just imagine a Bull Moose, standing 7 feet at the shoulders, slowly making his way toward you; antlers swaying back-&-forth while thrashing clumps of brush; his deep guttural grunts raising every hair on your neck. No other hunt compares to the adrenaline rush of a prime rut Bull Moose hunt! They offer hunting packages for Whitetail Deer and Black Bear.
Red Pine Lodge & Outpost Camps: We have great Moose hunting. Our Moose hunting packages all include an adult Bull Moose tag with calf tags for the other members of your party. We have six different Moose hunting packages to cater to your needs. Our Moose hunting guests enjoy a very high success rate for both bow hunting and rifle hunting. Our Moose Hunt takes place in WMU 31 and WMU 30.
Four Seasons Guiding is a small and cozy family-run outfitter on Big Pine Lake near Chapleau Ontario. They offer housekeeping cabins with Hunting for Moose, Wolf, Black Bear and Grouse. Moose hunt takes place in WMU 32 and WMU 35. This is one of the top regions for Moose hunting due to the absence of deer. Whitetail Deer are carriers of a parasite that is deadly to Moose.
Seine River Lodge is located near Atikokan Ontario, between Quetico Provincial Park and the White Otter Wilderness Preserve. They have great hunting for Moose but because they are so close to the park they have not been issued any adult Moose tags. They offer housekeeping log cabins and camping for Ontario residents who have their own Moose tags for WMU 11A & WMU 12B. They also have outstanding hunting for Black Bear and Whitetail Deer.
Five Mile Lake Lodge & Outpost Camps is located on Five Mile Lake, which is south of Chapleau, Ontario. Their non-resident Adult Moose hunts take place in WMU 35 and the lodge borders on WMU 38. Residents with their own tags are welcome to rent a cabin. They are rated as 4 Star (****) accommodations with housekeeping cabins at the base lodge and outpost cabins on Goldie Lake and Wenebegon Lake.
Flame Lake Lodge is located near Chapleau Ontario. They also offer accommodations for resident Moose hunters with their own tags for WMU 35 and WMU 38. Accommodations include housekeeping cabin or American Plan in the main lodge.
Crystal Beach Resort & Outfitters is located east of Atikokan Ontario and in the heart of some of the best Moose hunting in Northwestern Ontario. Quetico Provincial Park acts as a game preserve thus keeping the Moose big and healthy. Bull Moose get big in Atikokan with some exceeding 1400 pounds. We have no non-resident tags at this time. Residents who have their own Adult Moose tags for WMU 11A, WMU 12A and WMU 12B are more than welcome to stay at our camp as these WMUs are close to our camp. We are also within driving distance of WMU 13 and WMU 15B. They also have outstanding hunting for Black Bear, Whitetail Deer and Wolf.
Green Wilderness Lodge & Outpost Camps: is located in Northern Ontario between Gogama and Timmins. Green Wilderness has great hunting for Moose and Black Bear. They are located in WMU 29 and have adult Bull tags but you hve to contact them early in the year to get them. Moose hunting is exceptionally enjoyable in their area as they have many ATV paths; old abandoned logging roads and game trails leading deep into the bush were you have easy access to prime Moose habitat.
Prairie Bee Outpost Camps are located on Prairie Bee Lake, which is located between Chapleau and Wawa, Ontario. They offer exclusive remote Moose hunting camps for Bow hunters as they are issued Bull Moose archery tags for WMU 32. Moose are plentiful in the area with Bulls common up to 1300 pounds and the occasional Bull Moose reaching 1500 pounds. They have hundreds of miles of old logging roads, ATV trails and game trails to hunt as well the opportunity to hunt from a boat along the shore where Moose frequently drink and feed. The camp takes a limited number of hunters each year to maintain their high success rate, which is 90% or higher. At the far west end of the lake they have an extremely remote outpost camp. The main camp is located at the north-east end of the lake. These are remote boat-to housekeeping camps.
Moose Horn Lodge is located outside of Chapleau Ontario right next to the Chapleau Crown Game Preserve. They offer excellent Moose hunting. Each year they are issued one Adult Bull Moose tag and multiple calf tags for WMU 35. They offer housekeeping accommodations in their brand new open concept cottages. Residents with their own Moose tags are welcome to rent a cottage as the lodge is close to WMU 35 and WMU 38.
